Cocolife, Dumper Partylist kasangga ng UST sa UAAP Season 86

MANILA, Philippines — Nakasikwat ng dagdag na backer ang University of Santo Tomas sa katauhan ng Cocolife at Dumper Partylist upang patuloy na palakasin ang men’s at boys basketball program nito sa paparating na UAAP Season 86.

Halos isang buwan pa lang simula nang mabasbasan ng San Miguel Corporation, lalong bumuhos ang suporta sa España para sa misyon nitong makabalik sa taluktok ng Philippine collegiate basketball kontra sa mga bigating koponan.

“We can assure the Thomasian community that we will bring our basketball program to new heights. Hindi natin masasabi na magcha-champion agad this season but with these corporate sponsorships from SMC, Cocolife and Dumper Partylist, malayo ang mararating natin,” ani UST Institute of Physical Education and Athletics (IPEA) director Fr. Rodel Cansancio.

Mismong si Cansancio ang nanguna sa memorandum of agreement sig-ning ceremony sa Cocolife Building sa Makati kasama sina Cocolife senior vice president Joseph Ronquillo, Cocolife company ambassador at Medal of Valor awardee Col. Ariel Querubin pati si Dumper Partylist official Bhong Baribar mula sa Office of Congressman Claude Bautista.

Matagal ng sumusuporta ang Cocolife at Dumper Partylist sa sports, lalo na sa basketball sa MPBL at PSL, bago sumalang ngayon sa UAAP kasama ang Growling Tigers.

Nauna nang inanusyo ng UST ang pagtalaga kay SMC sports director Alfrancis Chua bilang Special Assistant to the Rector for Sports, kapareho ng kanyang posisyon sa Letran na ginabayan niya sa NCAA 3-peat.
